A memory management unit (MMU) is a hardware componment responsible for translating virtual memory addresses generated by the CPU into physical RAM addresses on computer hardware. Tethering the virtual to the real through algorithmic alteration and material transformation, this audiovisual project is inspired by the resonant, diffractive, and symbiotic potentials of bringing immersive experience to rave culture. Through creative code, audioreactive programming, real-time system design, lighting, and installation, I work collaboratively with event producers, venues, DJs, and audiovisual artists to create site-specific ephemal environments that create sensorial space for shared embodiment, presence, joy, and connection.
